"The most prosperous countries have succeeded in accumulating powers of destruction such as to annihilate, a hundred times over, not only all the human beings that have existed to this day, but also the totality of all living beings that have ever drawn breath on this planet of misfortune.
[...] Faced with this awesome reality that must have seemed a mere utopia through all of human time, we, the inventors of tales, who will believe anything, feel entitled to believe that it is not yet too late to engage in the creation of the opposite utopia. A new and sweeping utopia of life, where no one will be able to decide for others how they die, where love will prove true and happiness be possible, and where the races condemned to one hundred years of solitude will have, at last and forever, a second opportunity on earth."

Little-big Yoda has arrived

“Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm.... And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship.”

Yoda
Star Wars episode V. The Empire Strikes Back

Welcome to your new home, Yoda. We are eager to learn from you.

This post want also to pay tribute to the memory of my beautiful friend Jackie. I know Yoda can feel you close too, and that wherever you are now you will be smiling, looking how far the shoes you picked for me has gone...

"El tamaño no importa. Mírame a mí.

Rafael Mendoza Gaspart "ENTREVISTA AL MAGNATE DE LOS NEGOCIOS J. R. ALBERTOS (Revista mensual Negocios Capitales, número 124)"

"- (E) All right. Now I would like you to explain to us what is your solution. What exactly is a separator?

- (JR A) The separator is the worker responsible of moving the couple once they have fallen asleep. Through his studies on the rhythms of sleep, he is able to detect the optimal time to move one of the two lovers to another bed, without them realizing it. The separator waits for that moment and then acts. He is also trained in Samurai techniques, to move, and move others, stealthesly. Then, after the couple has been separated and each member has been taken to a different bed, the separator, leaves the home. It is a very beautiful job, very Zen, which now is very trendy. A nephew of mine is studying to be one of them.

- (E) [Laughts] And the gatherers?

- (JR A) The gatherers work is similar, only in reverse, entering the home when it is almost time to wake up and choose the best time to put two people back in the same bed and cuddled ... ! However, working as a gatherer will require several years of experience as a separator, because in the morning the couple is more likely to wake up. "

Oh! The Places You’ll Go!

Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
by the incomparable Dr. Seuss

"Congratulations! Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.

And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll look up and down streets.
Look’em over with care.
About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.”
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
you’re too smart to go down a not-so-good street.
And you may not find any you’ll want to go down.
In that case, of course, you’ll head straight out of town.
It’s opener there in the wide open air.
Out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.

And when things start to happen,
don’t worry. Don’t stew.
Just go right along. You’ll start happening too.
Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

Except when you don’t.
Because, sometimes, you won’t.
I’m sorry to say so but, sadly, it’s true that Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you.
You can get all hung up in a prickle-ly perch.
And your gang will fly on. You’ll be left in a Lurch.
You’ll come down from the Lurch with an unpleasant bump.
And the chances are, then, that you’ll be in a Slump.
And when you’re in a Slump, you’re not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself is not easily done.

You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they’re darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?
And if you go in, should you turn left or right…or right-and-three-quarters?

Or, maybe, not quite? Or go around back and sneak in from behind? Simple it’s not, I’m afraid you will find, for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind [...]."

Sobre hogares y despedidas/ about homes and fairwells.

- Fuck, this hurts so much.

- Yeah, I know.
But that is life.

If nothing else,
that's life, you know.

It's real.
Sometimes it fuckin' hurts.
To be honest,
it's sort of all we have.
How are you feelin'?

- Safe.
When I'm with you,
I feel so safe.
Like I'm home.

Sobre el camino / About the path

XXLIV
"Todo pasa y todo queda,
pero lo nuestro es pasar,
pasar haciendo caminos,
caminos sobre la mar.

I
Nunca perseguí la gloria,
ni dejar en la memoria
de los hombres mi canción;

yo amo los mundos sutiles,
ingrávidos y gentiles
como pompas de jabón.

Me gusta verlos pintarse
de sol y grana,
volar bajo el cielo azul,
temblar súbitamente y quebrarse.

XXIX
Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino, y nada más;
caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.

Al andar se hace camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.

Caminante, no hay camino,
sino estelas en la mar".

Antonio Machado. Provervios y Cantares, Campos de Castilla (1912)

XLIV
"Everything passes and everything remains,
but we can only pass,
pass making paths,
paths over the sea.

I
I never sought glory,
nor to leave in man’s memory my song;
I love the subtle worlds,
weightless and delicate,
like soap bubbles.

I like to see them painted
by sun and spots,
fly under the blue sky,
then tremble and burst…

XXIX
Traveller, it’s your footprints
that are the path, nothing more;
Traveller, there is no path,
the path is made by walking.
By walking the path is made
and looking back you see
the trail you will never tread again.

Traveller, there is no path,
only foam trails on the sea."

Antonio Machado.

The nest is the coat that birds make in order to be protected and give protection to the eggs and nestlings out of the predators. It fulfills the function of refuge and supports a hot temperature for those who live in it. It is happily prepared during the wait.
A nest does not have to be complicated. There's no procedure with regard to the complexity of his elaboration, it depends on the function that the nest plays and of the personality of every bird: there are constructions that are extremely simple, as those of the owl, or very elaborated, as those of the birds lira (Menura spp).

Each of the materials that the bird uses for the creation of the nest fulfills a unique function.

The strong materials, as the thickest twigs, help to give the necessary structure and the consistency to the nest to resist his own weight, besides the bird one and the inclemencies of the weather.

The agglutinative materials fix the nest and give him solidity to the set. The materials of coating, as the grass, or the mosses, are the lining that serves to do the most comfortable nest.
Almost all the birds contribute with something of themselves turning the nest to a unique and personal place for the one that is for coming. for example saliva, or his own down, but every nest has to content a little of themselves. For the construction of the nest.

The male looks for a good place to build it, and when he finds it , he calls the female, who approves or denies it.

when they have find the place, the male start bringing twigs and delivers them individually to the female, stoppinghim in her back. She arranges them, shutting in herself in the circle of the nest and using her own body as measure. The male returns to the nest dozens of times, bringing materials that delivers to the female, generally in the dawn.

Some species must cross big distances to do it, but his inborn capacity makes them recognize the nest in spite of the camouflage and similitude to many others .

The capacity of the birds to return to a concrete place even if they have travelled big distances it is due to the fact that they use the sun to guide them during the day, and the stars in the night. The position of the constellations orund the celestial poles shows them the way home.
